Halloween Wanties

Matte nail polishes have been seen on every catwalk this season. They remind me of a chalk board. I love how they look so polished and like your nail is just naturally black. Couldn't get any more Halloweeny if we tried!

I've never really been that great at carving pumpkins so why not wear one on my head instead? This really cute beanie from ASOS is just too cute. After halloween you could cut off the green stalk and then it would just be a orange beanie.

Mittens are the cutest thing a girl could have in her wardrobe. I've always thought mittens with a string on are so adorable. I love these little kitty ones from ASOS. You don't even have to just wear these on halloween.

Claire's was basically my childhood. Even though they are a little over priced, i will forgive them because this headpiece is just so classy and cute! It kind of reminds me of a run-away cat bride...

BOO! Headbands with words on seem to be the trend lately. Urban Outfitters is ripping you off here because you could just make this out of a few pipe cleaners.

Asos is always my go to for tights because they have so much selection. I found both these really cool tights in the Halloween section. I love the bats ones because the bats are so high up that if you wear a short skirt they just peep out the top and aren't just boring plain tights. And the cat ones are just the most adorable tights i've ever seen and you can wear them in a casual outfit too.

In the whole of the world i don't think there will be one make up lover not wearing black eyeliner on Halloween. Eyeliner pens are so easy to use and L'Oreal is everyones favourite eyeliner brand. The Blackbuster gives a really big and sleek line.

Obviously Halloween is a time for dark lipsticks. I don't think i could ever dare going out in a full black lip but i think i could go as far as a dark dark purple. It's not very easy to see but the lipstick i have chosen from mac is Cyber. I'm planning on lining my lips in black and ombre-ing them in.

What are you doing for Halloween?

Spooky Spider Cupcakes

They didn't exactly turn out as beautiful as i was hoping but if they taste good i'm happy. I'm going down to see my brother in Leeds for a few days so thought i would make some cupcakes to get into the festive mood. They look really homemade and not at all professional but oh well...

This recipe makes 12 cupcakes.

Ingredients:

110g Caster Sugar
110g Self raising Flour
2 Eggs
2 tbsp Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

For Decoration:

A Reasonable Amount of Icing Sugar
Decorating Pens
Any Round Chocolate (e.g Maltesers, Pebbles)
Strawberry Laces
Halloween Sweets (i decided not to use these because i liked the spider idea more)

Method:

1.Preheat the oven to 180C and line a 12-hole muffin tin with paper cases

2. Cream the Butter and Sugar together in a bowl until pale. Beat in a egg a little at a time then add the Vanilla extract.

3. Fold in the Flour using a metal spoon and gradually add the milk.

4.Spoon the mixture into the paper cases.

5. Bake in the oven for around 15 minutes.

6. When they are finished baking, leave them out so they can cool. While waiting for them to cool, prepare the icing.

Icing:

1. I didn't measure how much icing sugar i needed, i just guessed. Sift as much as you think is right into a bowl and keep adding water and keep stirring until it is thick enough.

Decoration:

1. Evenly spread out the icing on all the cupcakes.

2. Before the icing dries, stick on your round chocolate.

3. Break up the strawberry laces into little legs and stick them on.

4. With the cake pens draw two little eyes on the body.

I really hoped you liked this post, please tell me if you make them.

My Halloween Nails

I painted my nails green this morning but felt like they looked a bit too bright. I decided what better time to paint my nails for halloween. I'm just in a bit of a festive mood. I'm so proud that i painted all my nails of both hands with out having to remove anything!
I used:
Barry M Gelly Nail Polish in Key Lime
Silver Fern Nail Supreme Nail Decorating Pens
Barry M Base Coat and Top Coat

Maybelline Baby Lips Review

*feel free to just miss out this post because you might be as bored of Baby Lips as i am*

Baby lips have been a massive phenomenon in the lip moisturising world. I own all of them except the Minty Fresh because i'm not keen on the idea of a mint lip balm. Out of the 5 that i own i like three of them. Practically, every girl at my school has them and they are constantly plastering them on their lips. The three tinted one are such a good product for people starting out their makeup collection and are so easy to build up.

Peach Kiss is a dark peach/neutral pink with a shimmer to it. This one is the most moisturising of the lot and smells exactly like peaches. It hides any dry skin and makes the lips look fuller and healthier and completely repairs them with only one or two applications.

Pink Punch is a much more stronger colour and is a favourite with my friends. Again, is really moisturising and hides any dry skin. It looks like a lipgloss but isn't at all heavy. This colour lasts a long time on your lips and applies well. And it smells like fizzy strawberries.

Cherry me is a natural red which isn't as moisturising as the other two. It doesn't hide dry skin as well but the colour is more wearable then Pink Punch. Red colours suit me a lot more but i don't think i could ever wear a bold red lip to school so this product is a good alternative.

There is no difference between Intensive care and Hydrate except Hydrate is a little bit more moist and smells like lemonade. They do nothing for my lips and both dry off my lips in two seconds. I would not recommend these to anyone.

What's your favourite Baby Lips?

Weekly Wanties #5

Hey guys, i feel like i haven't been getting many new followers lately and i no one has left me any comments for months. Please do let me know if you are not enjoying my posts or anything like that.

Wow! October already? Time flies when your having fun. Already preparing myself for some festive halloween post! Here are some of my Weekly Wanties from this week...
Such a staple piece for Autumn/Winter. I have never found a scarf that i have really loved for years because all of them are just too brightly patterned or too boring. This scarf hits the pin straight on the head. It has a slight vintage/retro feel and looks warm but not too thick that it makes you hair go into a trillion knots, which i always find happens. This scarf is currently sold out on the Urban Outfitters website but is still in stores.

Since Autumns here, i thought a blush that looked like autumn sunsets would be perfect for this weeks wanties. It's a warm rose gold with a some shimmer in a shade called Pinched. This shade is more on the browny pink side so i would wear it with a neutral pink lip and winged liner.

Cut out dresses have been a must have for Spring/Summer 2k13 and i'm defo prepeared to bring them into Autumn. They make outfits feel so much more flirty. This dress has warm pink and purple tones so i would wear it with dark purple wooly tights and a large navy duffle coat. For only £20 this is a bargain!

I have such bad under eye circles that are constantly there and no amount of sleep will get rid of them. I prefer to use a stick concealer because i feel like it gives more coverage and is easier to work into the skin and won't give a cakey look. Most raved about concealers aren't ever sticks so i'm curious to try some.

Clueless is my favourite movie. And what clueless lover wouldn't want a print of one of the most famous quotes from any 90's movie? This is probably my most used quote from any movie so i will happily have this on my wall.

I've already have all the baby lips except the minty fresh and cherry me. Considering minty fresh doesn't have a colour pay off and i'm not too sure if i really want my lips to smell like mint, then that one can wait. I haven't been able to find cherry me anywhere. I suit red lips more then i suit any other colours so this was the shade i wanted most. They only give a little colour so are perfect for school.

Because i'm so young i don't really want to be slapping my face with foundation all the time. I want to start to wear BB cream instead and just wear foundation when i want more coverage. BB cream primes, evens skintones, moisturises, brightens, covers blemishes and conceals any colour imperfections. BB creams are easier to work into the skin than foundation and you don't need to wear concealer with it.

Accessorize nail polishes are my Holy Grail. So easy to put on, such a huge range of colours and last for ages. So why not try Accessorize's blush and see if it's just as amazing? I chose this colour because i think it would look great with a deep purple lip and a dark smokey eye for a dramatic Autumn look.

Ebay is my best friend. I am constantly checking for good deals or just looking on it for a quick browse.  I always end up finding around 10 things i love, adding them to my watch list then completely forgetting about them. I am in deep need for a little handbag that can fit a decent amount of things in because most of mine have no space for anything but a purse and my phone. I found this on Ebay for under £10 and i have completely fallen in love with it. It makes me think of a chunky knit and a leather satchel mashed together.

What have you been drooling over this week so far?
